Hi! I’m Sarah.
I believe that good things happen when curious minds put pen to paper and that creativity is the key that helps me to grow, change and contribute.
I develop tools for building a creative mindset. I teach Cartoon Club online art classes for children, adults and businesses on the power of drawing and benefit of working together creatively. I illustrate a line of animal-inspired greeting cards and I’ve created colouring and doodle books, the Introduction to Cartooning Online Course and the Cartoon Club drawing game – to inspire curiosity and creativity at any age. My hope is that the tools I’ve designed to make happy changes in my own life, will help you do the same.
A Creative Approach
I find that my best work has always happened when I have been able to slow down, listen and let my instincts guide me. Cartooning, colouring and journaling have been like magic for helping me to relax, tap into my imagination and get creative. This is why I’m a believer in old-school pen and paper. I believe we can all be more creative and that it’s a skill that improves with practice.
Animals – my Artistic Inspiration
I grew up with my two dogs, Snowy and Rex, and many a reluctant frog and toad friend. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I came to England, with my paints and my horse named Finn, on a journey to work creatively. Finn, the most curious, brave and kind soul, who I was blessed to have until age 33, continues to inspire me to illustrate the beauty and healing power of the animals. I believe there are some creatures who are capable of filling holes, you never knew existed. You will find my greeting cards in great shops like The National Trust, West Dean College, Watts Gallery and animal feed shops like Rokers. Do put pen to paper and share a handwritten hello!
