“If you think you are enlightened, go spend a week with your family”, is a quote from Ram Dass that I heard Tim Ferriss say on his podcast with Jack Kornfield. Jack, whom he is interviewing, says that maybe that is how they came up with the term nuclear family. He says we shouldn’t necessarily feel too badly about this because as he jokes, Buddha and Jesus both had a hard time when they went back to visit their families. It’s appropriate timing as I’m headed back to Canada soon. But not very applicable to me as I now find it very relaxing and fun to be back home with friends and family.
