Ostara is an adorably cute needle felted chick and part of my collection of Woolie animals.

I love needle felting! I hand-make each figure using the technique of fibre art – layering loose wool and felting it together with a fine needle. How long does it take to make a wool sculpture? Don’t ask! Rest assured, you’re getting a wee work of animal art from many hours of loving and careful crafting.

No two needle felt animals are the same. I put time, thought and creative juices into every wool sculpture to make each one special with a character of it’s own. I’m always sorry to see my wool creations leave but I’m happy to send them on to homes of people like you who appreciate fine needle felt artwork.

This needle felted animal is made of natural sheeps wool. Some characters have a wire armature inside to hold their form. The need felt animals are delicate. It’s best not to move them about too much as they are decorative pieces and not intended as children’s toys. That said, they do like their photos taken (just check out Henry’s Instagram and you’ll see how much fun we have!).

Care instructions: Spot clean with a soft, damp cloth with cool water. Do not wash or launder.
