Scientists are bringing back the Wooly Mammoth to help slow the greenhouse gases. Have you heard about this? The things they can do now!
Apparently there is a theory that they can stop the tundra permafrost from melting which I understand releases tons of greenhouse gases. Mammoths used to punch through the snow so that cold air would come in and they also felled trees so the grasses could keep growing. They went extinct 4500 years ago but they are de-extincting them by splicing DNA from a very well preserved mammoth body, frozen 42,000 years ago, with an elephant. Crazy! I think I heard about this when listening to the Joe Rogan Experience. I learn so many cool and geeky things listening to him.
