Just a word of warning if you are thinking of trying a keto diet! I didn’t experience this but most people apparently have some changes to their bowel movements when they do a low carb or ketogenic diet. The increased fat can cause diarrhea and loose stools as your body adjusts to the change in your digestion. This too shall pass. Ha ha! Mark Sisson talks about using exogenous ketones in order to improve his performance in sport. He is trying to build his metabolic machinery so that your liver will start to use fat to build ketones which offsets the need for glucose.
